Sharjah Airport has announced it is fully prepared for the winter holiday travel rush, rolling out a set of operational measures designed to ease congestion, improve passenger flow, and maintain service standards during peak periods.
The airport is advising travellers to arrive at least three hours before departure, as passenger volumes rise across the winter season.
To speed up processing, Sharjah Airport is encouraging passengers to make use of its digital and fast-track options, including self-check-in kiosks, baggage drop facilities, smart gates, fast-track lanes, and the Hala service. Air Arabia travellers are also being urged to use the city check-in service, which allows passengers to complete procedures in advance and head straight to passport control upon arrival at the airport.
In addition, Air Arabia and Fly Jinnah passengers can take advantage of a newly introduced home check-in service, aimed at further reducing airport wait times.
To enhance comfort during busy travel windows, Sharjah Airport has opened the Al Diyafah Lounge at the main entrance to the departures area. The airport also says it has increased staffing across key operational areas to support quicker processing for both departing and arriving passengers.
Officials noted that these steps are part of ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and deliver a smoother travel experience throughout the winter peak.
